Boomer Sooner!

Kate loves football. When it's on TV, she's zoned in! (Like father, like daughter.) Here she is this morning, all ready for gameday vs TCU!

Kate & Bailey

All of a sudden yesterday, Kate decided that Bailey's bark is the funniest thing ever. She just laughs and laughs and laughs at her. It is so cute! We got a little bit of it on video tonight.

Yorkie Onesie

I had a onesie sent off to a lady I found on Ebay to have a Yorkie embroidered on it. It arrived while we were gone! I put it on her today, it is so cute! I love it!

Headed to Minnesota

I don't have anything revolutionary to say today, but I took a picture of Kate this morning so I thought I might as well post it. I'm just about packed for our trip to Minnesota. I'm headed over to my parents' house later today, to spend the night. Jeff has softball tonight, so we wouldn't really have gotten to see him anyway, and my parents are taking me to the airport tomorrow, so it's just easier if I head over there. I'm not really looking forward to the plane ride, but it will be worth it to see family and friends!

Ba Ba, Buh Buh

Kate is really exploring with language and sounds lately. In the last few days, she has been LOVING her B's. Any sound that starts with a B, she's made it! Her particular favorites are Baa Baa (what the sheep says!) and Buh Buh. It's very cute.

Eating solids is going very well. She gets very excited when I strap her into the high chair, she smiles, laughs, coo's, and Buh Buh's at me. Sometimes the rice cereal goes flying because she's so busy with her B's that it comes flying back. :) So far we haven't ventured past rice cereal, but I think we'll start with vegetables when we get back from Minnesota.

In other news, poor Kate is sick, but not really. I think I mentioned before, she got sick in Atlanta, but she's been running a low grade fever ever since. She's been to the Pediatrician twice, but they don't see anything wrong with her - neither do I. She's acting completely normal and happy, just that fever running in the background. They first put her on Ammox, but that didn't do anything, so now they have her on Suprax. The good news is that her temperature has been under 100 degrees since yesterday, so I hope and pray that continues. They said if it goes back to 100 or more, she'll need to go back in for more testing. Poor little thing! And I really hope that her temperature stays down because of our trip to Minnesota, I really hope we can still go! I'd hate to cancel it!

I've had to make a little shopping trip to buy new clothes for Kate for Minnesota, since it's a little cooler up there. Here's one of the outfits I bought! I think it's my favorite!

The lady at Carters said that Kate reminds her of a baby chick with all the fuzz on her head. So funny!

3 Month Pictures

While Kate and I were in Chicago, we took Kate and Micah in to have professional pictures taken. We finally just got them now! So here they are! Sorry for the bad picture quality, they're pictures of pictures.

I wasn't thrilled with the pictures of Kate, but they're pretty cute. I didn't feel like re-doing the 3 month pictures.

Atlanta Pictures - Finally!

Sorry it took me so long. As I think I mentioned, we all got sick in Atlanta, and Kate didn't fully recover until today! She has been running a fever this whole time, we've been to the Pediatrician twice, and just today her fever FINALLY broke. Poor thing! So here are our pictures!

Here is Jack being the chaperone for Kate & Luke's first date. We put on a Baby Einstein show for them while we played Phase 10.

We walked down to a park by the Broggi's house and put Kate in a swing. She wasn't sure what to think of it at first.

Then we put her sunglasses on and she was all smiles!

4 Month Appointment

It went well. She's 25 inches long (75th percentile), 13 lbs 15 oz (50th percentile), and her head has moved up to the 25th percentile. Yay!

The Pediatrician said it's not normal for them to have a fever, have it go away, and then come back again, so she wasn't sure what that was all about. They took a urine sample and it came back normal, and we both agreed that otherwise she's not acting sick. Eating and sleeping fine. She gave me some Ammox RX to help clear up whatever it is.

She also said that Kate is ready to start solids. She couldn't believe how much she's been eating, 36-48 oz a day! That's my girl! So we'll start them up tonight. I think Kate will be excited, she's just so hungry all the time!

She wanted me to schedule for her shots in 2 weeks or so after Kate is all better.

4 Months Old

My baby Kate is 4 months old today!

Photobucket

What a sweet girl. We had a great time in Atlanta, but we got sick while we were there. Kate took her first cold like a champ, and is slowly but surely recovering. Her mood seems back to normal, but she's still stuffed up and has a little cough. I will post pictures of our trip sometime this weekend.
