6 Months!

I cannot believe my Sweet Baby Girl is 6 months old. Where does the time go?? On one hand I feel like she was just born yesterday. On the other hand, I can hardly remember life without her. She brings so much joy into our lives.

She won't be going to the doctor again until next months, so I did my own little measurements of her, so my apologies that her 6 month stats aren't official! :)

Weight: 17.4 Pounds (50th Percentile)
Height: 29 Inches (95th Percentile - TALL girl!!)
Head Circumference: 16.5 Inches (25th Percentile)

So she's growing pretty consistently along the markers, staying in similar percentiles each milestone.

Kate's First Tooth!

Kate is such a clockwork baby! She seems to do just about everything right "on time." She had her first smile one day shy of 6 weeks, and today she got her very first tooth, one day shy of 6 months! Such a big girl! It's the bottom right center tooth. I'm very thankful that she is such an easy teether. I had no clue it was coming - in fact, she has been an exceptionally happy girl the last couple days. I do remember my sister telling me that when Micah was teething he always seemed to get a stuffy/runny nose, which completely fits the bill for Kate. She hasn't been acting sick these last few days, but she's had a lot of congestion and runniness!

I can't believe how quickly she's growing up.

She also has some big news - she's going to have another cousin!!! My sister Andrea is expecting their second baby, due on May 23. We are so incredibly excited for them, and I can't wait to see who the newest little Hall is!

I also wanted to include this picture of Kate. This adorable monkey sleeper was a gift from our friends Aaron & Jimmie Kennedy, so I thought they'd enjoy seeing Kate now that she's finally big enough to wear it. :) Thanks guys!

Kate's First Election

Kate is following in her Grandpa Reuter's footsteps. She's very into this whole election thing. She's showing her Red State pride and reminding everyone to go out and vote for McCain/Palin today!




But, she also recognizes and respects each individual's freedom for a choice, so she says just get out and VOTE!

Bed Head

Kate's hair is getting long enough now that she is waking up every morning with a serious case of bed head. Here is today's lovely example!




She doesn't look quite like herself - she came down with a cold over the weekend so she's been a poor little sicky. She's taking it in stride and doesn't really seem to let it bother her though. I think she'll bounce back quickly.

And this is just a shout out to all you non-parents. Enjoy daylight savings time while you can. What extra hour of sleep? Kate woke up bright and early at 5:45 am today! I thought keeping her up late last night would help, but to no avail. So, enjoy that extra hour of sleep you get before you have kids! :)

Unfortunately it's over 80 degrees in Texas today so I don't know if Kate will be able to wear her costume at church at Trunk or Treat tonight! She got very hot even just taking these pictures!

Applesauce

Kate had her first applesauce this morning. She's not giving the greatest reactions to food anymore, but I guess that's good that she likes it all!

We are going shopping with Nana today at the outlets in Allen. Should be lots of fun. Then our grocery store has some Halloween Madness sales that are this afternoon only if you bring a child in costume, so we might stop by there on our way home. :)
