Thanksgiving Weekend

I thought I'd finally drag over and post our pictures from Thanksgiving! We had a great time in Oklahoma and Kate got to meet all sorts of fun, new people. She still wasn't (and isn't) 100% from her Croup and RSV, but she was a trooper despite all that.

There is no denying that Kate if Jeff's daughter! Check out Jeff when he was a baby.

Games We Play

Kate has a couple of favorite games that we play. The first one I discovered is the "Kachoo Game." I sneezed once, and Kate thought it was just hilarious. Now, whenever I sneeze - real or fake - she thinks it's pretty funny. Normally I get a better reaction out of her, but this was taken on the day she was diagnosed with RSV! What a trooper!




Daddy discovered this next game. Yesterday, I was holding Kate and Jeff was tickling her. All of a sudden he got in her face and said "BOO!" It startled her, but she LOVED it. And she still loves it today! Silly girl. I love hearing her laugh.

RSV

Poor Kate. Just when we thought she was getting better and over her Croup, this morning she came down with a 103.1 fever. I took her into the Pediatrician and now she has RSV. There isn't much they can do for her since it's a virus, so they told me to keep her fever down alternating Motrin and Tylenol, and bulb syringe her nose out 3+ times a day. I'm supposed to watch for signs of respiratory distress, so I will. Poor little sweetie. If it's not one thing, it's another.

Baby Dedication

Here are the pictures from Baby Dedication on Sunday! It went as well as could be expected with a sick baby. She got a little fussy towards the end, but she did alright. We pretty much had to dedicate and then go home, she was not feeling well and just wanted to be home, napping in her crib. We went home and she took a 2+ hour nap! After she woke up we all went out to lunch at our favorite restaurant, Gloria's.

She was not too eager to pose for pictures, but we did our best.













And just to make this a photo-packed post, I took a few pictures of Kate this morning. She is sitting up SO well! And my big girl has graduated to size 9 month clothes!! Mainly because of her big belly... She needs a little more room in those shirts! But she's also so tall that all of her 6 month pants were starting to look like capris!

I finally see quite a bit of myself in some of these pictures. And no, her hair isn't red.. it just looks like it in pictures! There are some red undertones, but overall her hair is definitely a mousy brown.











And just because I can never get in a photo shoot without Bailey wanting to get in on the action...

Poor Kate

Maybe tomorrow I'll have time to post her Baby Dedication pictures. She's still sick again today, she might have even taken a slight downturn. She basically wanted to be carried around by me all day! I must admit, I was pretty glad when she went to bed tonight. But I think her bug has a stomach component to it. On Saturday she vomited quite a bit after one feeding. Thankfully that episode was only milk. But tonight, she HUGELY vomited after her milk, oatmeal, carrots, and peaches. That was lovely. I just hate watching her poor little face with all that coming out! I hope it goes away soon, I want my healthy happy baby back.
