4 Month Appointment

It went well. She's 25 inches long (75th percentile), 13 lbs 15 oz (50th percentile), and her head has moved up to the 25th percentile. Yay!

The Pediatrician said it's not normal for them to have a fever, have it go away, and then come back again, so she wasn't sure what that was all about. They took a urine sample and it came back normal, and we both agreed that otherwise she's not acting sick. Eating and sleeping fine. She gave me some Ammox RX to help clear up whatever it is.

She also said that Kate is ready to start solids. She couldn't believe how much she's been eating, 36-48 oz a day! That's my girl! So we'll start them up tonight. I think Kate will be excited, she's just so hungry all the time!

She wanted me to schedule for her shots in 2 weeks or so after Kate is all better.

4 Months Old

My baby Kate is 4 months old today!

What a sweet girl. We had a great time in Atlanta, but we got sick while we were there. Kate took her first cold like a champ, and is slowly but surely recovering. Her mood seems back to normal, but she's still stuffed up and has a little cough. I will post pictures of our trip sometime this weekend.

One Year

One year ago today, I found out that I was pregnant. It's amazing what changes in the span of one year, isn't it? I couldn't even imagine what an incredible blessing that tiny Kate growing inside of me would be.

Growth Spurt

I think Kate is in the middle of a growth spurt. She seems extra hungry lately, especially today. Normally she drinks 4 oz every 2.5 hours. About an hour ago she demanded 10 oz in a 1.5 hour period! Even with minimal spit up. That's a lot of food! Before Jeff went to work today, he requested that I take a few pictures of Kate and send them to him, so I did. Here are a few of them.

While I do like cute pink and purple baby clothes, I love having stuff in other colors too. Especially with her blue eyes, I love dressing her in blue! In my "Your Baby Week by Week" book, it said that by this point in time, if the eyes havn't started to change yet, it is likely they won't. For sure by 6 months, but they said for most babies they will have at least started to change. Kate's are still nice and blue! It's fun to keep us guessing. Only time will tell!

We are getting more and more packed for our trip to Atlanta on Thursday. We are SO incredibly excited! We haven't seen the Broggi's in almost 2 years, and we can't wait to get our kids together.

My Beach Babe

I bought this swimsuit for Kate yesterday at Target, I thought it was sooo dang cute! But it's 18 month size... That's why I put it on her, it looks waay too small to be 18 mo! It is a bit big on her, but I'm doubtful it'll fit next summer! Either way it was on clearance so I'm keeping it because it's so dang cute, but I sure hope it still fits!

Exersaucer Time!

Jeff's company held a baby shower for us yesterday. Among the gifts were an Exersaucer for Kate! I put it together last night and put her in it for the first time this morning. Here were her first moments! She loves it!
